Get your child on the path to be more active with The Eltham Centre. The whole team here at Eltham have a passion for inspiring juniors to be more active and make use of their local facility. With our Junior Gym membership, children aged 11-17 can join the gym and attend our fitness classes at allocated time slots. With a variety of activities to choose from, there's something for all.

Junior Gym

Junior Gym offers use of the gym for 11-17 year olds

Sessions take place every day here at the Eltham Centre and Sessions must be pre booked via the Better UK or online.

Please note juniors will be required to complete a junior gym induction prior to starting the gym and restrictions with equipment are in place and enforced to ensure safety to all

Days and times available:

Monday to Friday 15:30 - 18:30

Saturday and Sunday 12:00 - 14:00

Adult and Junior Gym

Adult and junior gym sessions are available here at the Eltham Centre every Friday between 6pm to 8pm and the weekends 2-4pm

These sessions allow a parent and their child to bond and spend time together, whilst having fun and keeping active.

With a variety of gym equipment to choose from, there’s something for every level of ability. So, why not give it a go?

Junior Induction

The safety of all our junior members is extremely important to the Eltham team. 

We provide a Junior Gym Induction led by our qualified fitness instructors, who will show them how to properly use the equipment and perform exercises.

These inductions are important in building the confidence of our junior members when they are using the gym. 

All juniors must book this induction prior to their first Junior Gym session.

Junior Gym Rules

Juniors will have access to the majority of equipment including:

Cardio Machines - Treadmills, Cross-trainers, Upright Bikes, Spin Bikes, Recumbent Bikes and Rowing Machines

Resistence Machines* - Chest Press, Chest Fly, Lateral Row, Cable Pulley Machines, Leg Press, Hip Adductor, Hip Abductor, Lat Pulldown, Shoulder Press, Leg Extension, Leg Curl and Assisted Chin-Up

Functional Area* - TRX ropes, Kettlebells, Bosu Ball, Skipping Ropes, Steps, Slam Balls, Battle Ropes, Plyo Boxes and Small Free Weights

Juniors are not able to access the free weight area

*Juniors are required to use the lightest weight plates when using the resistance machines, as well as under 10kg dumbells in the functional area.
