Rivermead Health and Wellbeing Day
Rivermead Leisure Centre is set to host it’s first Health and Wellbeing event this summer on 17th June.
Running from 10am to 3pm, the event will bring together a wide range of organisations, charities, and local services, all focused on supporting residents to live healthier, happier lives. Attendees can explore a variety of information stands, offering advice, resources, and guidance on both physical and mental wellbeing.
Among those present will be GLL’s own Healthwise representatives, as well as organisations such as Solutions4Health and Together for Mental Wellbeing, with many more groups expected to take part. Each will provide opportunities for visitors to learn about local support services and initiatives available within the community.
The day won’t just be about information as attendees are encouraged to get involved. A range of interactive activities will be on offer, giving people the chance to try something new to inspire healthier habits.
In addition, a series of talks from external speakers will run throughout the day, covering topics linked to health, lifestyle, and mental wellbeing. These sessions aim to inform, motivate, and spark conversations around the importance of looking after both body and mind.
Reading Health and Wellbeing Day is free to attend, with no need to book - residents can simply turn up on the day and take part. This event welcomes non-members and members of the leisure centre.
