What is Junior Gym
Junior gym is a dedicated session for children between 11 and 17 years old to introduce them to working out in the gym and help them start their journey towards a healthy and active lifestyle. All sessions are supervised, with a member of the Fitness team present, to ensure they are working out safely. Membership also includes access to our Junior Fitness Classes that take place on the gym floor during the allocated sessions. Keeping everyone fit, active and healthy is important to us, so we want to ensure we offer a variety of fun activities. Sessions are included in the monthly membership or can be booked on a pay-as-you-go basis. All juniors are required to attend Junior Gym Induction before their first session.
For as little as £28.50 per month, your child can enjoy a range of activities at Windrush Leisure Centre ranging from the gym, swimming pool and get a discount on sports hall activities like badminton and table tennis and many more.
Junior Gym
Junior gym is a dedicated session for 11-17 year olds. The session allows them to start their fitness journey in a safe environment that’s fun & effective, whilst improving their health & wellbeing.
All juniors are required to have a junior gym induction with one of our qualified fitness instructors before being allowed into the gym.
Adult & Child Gym Sessions
Families can take advantage of our Adult and Junior gym sessions, which provide an excellent way to exercise and spend quality time together. To promote physical activity among younger participants, the responsible adult can actively supervise the junior throughout the duration of their session rather than being instructor lead. Juniors must be between the age of 11-17 and had an induction before their first session. Both the adult and junior must have a pre-paid membership or pay as they go.

Junior Gym Induction
All juniors are required to book and attend a junior gym induction before attending the first junior gym sessions. Junior inductions are conducted by our level 2 qualified Fitness Instructors in small groups of no more than five people and are 30 minutes long. During the inductions, our Instructors will go over all health & safety information about the gym, explain the gym etiquette, demonstrate the equipment that juniors are allowed to use during the sessions, and show how to use it safely.
Please note that a parent/guardian will have to be present for the whole duration of the induction.
Junior Gym inductions take place during our junior gym sessions. Bookings can be made at reception.
