Previous experience paddling on Grade 2-3 white water is required. Kayakers need to be confident using a spray deck during a capsize.
The assessment will involve multiple runs of the course, utilising a variety of eddies, demonstrating safety, awareness, and competence throughout. Participants will also need to demonstrate a roll or self-rescue on moving water.
Assessments need to be taken in white-water-appropriate craft. All craft must be under 12ft.
