Britannia Leisure Centre will host a Felix Fresh event on Friday 7th November from 12–2pm, offering free, fresh food to anyone in the community. Organised in partnership with The Felix Project, this initiative is part of a city-wide effort to reduce food waste and improve access to nutritious food for Londoners.

The event is open to all—no registration or referral is required. Attendees are simply asked to bring a bag, box or trolley to carry away the food they collect. A wide variety of fresh produce will be available, including fruit, vegetables, and other surplus items rescued from suppliers and retailers.

Felix Fresh is a new initiative from The Felix Project, designed to tackle the growing issue of food waste while supporting communities facing food insecurity. By redistributing surplus food that would otherwise go to landfill, Felix Fresh is expected to prevent hundreds of thousands of tonnes of edible food from being wasted each year.

Events like this not only help individuals and families stretch their weekly food budgets, but also contribute to a more sustainable and equitable food system. Britannia Leisure Centre is proud to be part of this movement, providing a welcoming space for residents to access healthy food with dignity.

Whether you're looking to reduce your grocery bill, support environmental sustainability, or simply learn more about local food initiatives, this is a great opportunity to get involved.
