SENIOR MEMBERSHIPS
If you're 60 and over, you can get active in our gyms, swimming pools and fitness classes, at a competitive price in Islington. The Better Health Partnership Senior membership costs £25.70 per month and includes access to all of the Better centres in the borough. Discounts for other activities such as badminton courts or tennis sessions are also included.
Alternatively if you would like to try out your local facilities before commiting to monthly payments, we have a Pay as you Go membership available. The Better Adult Senior membership costs just £7.80 per year and includes discounts for a variety of activities across Islington.
FITNESS CLASSES
Senior customers are also able to access a wide range of classes each week. From September we will be launching a new Basics Virtual Cycle class which will provide lower intensity exercises and routines.
SWIM SESSIONS
Free swimming is on offer for Islington residents aged 60+, Monday-Friday 9am-4pm and after 1pm on weekends at Highbury Leisure Centre. A Better Adult Senior pay as you go membership is required, costing £7.30 per year. This offer is also available at Ironmonger Row Baths, Archway Leisure Centre and Cally Pool. Sessions times may vary by centre.
FREE SWIMMING LESSONS
Highbury Leisure Centre are offering free swimming lessons for people aged 60 and over. Lessons are run in partnership with Islington Council. Available for a limited time only.
