Group Cycling Studio

Pedal your way fit in our air conditioned dedicated group cycling studio. The centre features 9 state-of-the-art Technogym bikes and is the perfect class to get you set up for your day ahead!

Cycle Track

Built back in 1958 for the British Empire and Commonwealth Games, Better Maindy Centre’s cycle track is 460m in length. Regularly used by clubs such as Maindy Flyers Junior Cycling Club who trained the 2018 Tour De France winner, Geraint Thomas, the cycle track has been a popular outdoor facility in the Cardiff area.

Visitors to the centre can use the track on a pay as you go basis (dependant on availability) or your little ones can attend our sessions run on the track such as Balance Bikes and Junior Triathlon. Ensure you bring your own bike and safety gear!

Swimming Pool

Our 25m, 6 lane swimming pool is unique with its double shallow ended layout, perfect for family swimming, local schools and Better Swim School lessons. We also run lane swimming sessions for those looking for a fitness swim as well as regular water workouts. We run private women’s and girls only sessions, plus we are the perfect venue for club hire.

Meeting Room

We have a meeting / training room available to hire which is fully air conditioned with great views of the Cycle Velodrome.

The room can hold 16 people class room style and benefits from a ceiling mounted projector and fully working kitchen.

Boxing Area

Situated in its own dedicated space downstairs, you can now enjoy 6 stations with varying design of bags plus a speed ball. In addition we have installed TRX stations for you to add an extra workout to your session.
Here are some of the positive effects on your fitness that you may expect when you start boxing:
