Here's the final update on this year's KEY103 Cash4Kids Christmas appeal...

This year East Manchester and Abraham Moss Leisure Centres registered as drop off points for Key 103’s Mission Christmas Cash for Kids.

With nearly 1 in 4 children across the UK living in poverty this December, for many families Christmas is simply a luxury they can’t afford. The charity asks the public to buy one extra gift to help the thousands of disadvantaged children across the UK who are in danger of waking up to no presents on Christmas morning.

East Manchester held a variety of fund raising activities including; a raffle to win Oasis Memorabilia; a cake, table top and book sale; a colouring competition and a special one-off fitness class called KettFusion. All of these activities helped us to raise over £900 which we then bought nearly 350 gifts with! Abraham Moss Leisure Centre also did really well in collecting 150 gifts at their site, bringing our total up to an amazing 500 gifts donated to the appeal.

Overall, along with the money raised and the kind donations from staff and our customers, we managed to send 450 gifts to Mission HQ. Those donated gifts would allow children across Greater Manchester to wake up with a smile on Christmas Day.

We look forward to raising more money and donating more gifts next December!
