This is Mirat

Mirat has been with us at Maindy for over 20 years. She has Cerebral palsy which has effected her mobility. Her doctor recommended that she tries a gym to help strengthen her legs and 20 years later, she is still comming.

Mirat has made alot of friends over the years and all the staff know her. She uses the gym twice a week in the morning and is very proud to show us how much better she is at walking out than she was walking in.

Mirat shows a lot of determination and commitment to turn up every week. Regular exercise has really helped her in her day to day life and that is why she keeps comming. The staff have helped her with programmes and are always on hand to offer support and advice.

Mirat is the first one to give us our christmas card each year and every year she has a birthday party here which she absolutely loves.

It's great to see the friendships she has made in the gym and she certainly is a character.
