Birthday Parties

The parties in the soft play are not exclusive use, however the party room is exclusive use.

The foam blaster and pool parties are exclusive use.

Yes we allow decorations in the party room as long as no damage is caused to the walls or furniture.

No we do not allow any external food in our parties, but you are welcome to bring a birthday cake.

The activity lasts for 60 minutes then you have 45 minutes in the party room for food and cake.

Yes, jugs of water are available from the café, but no food or drink is to be consumed in the soft play area.

Yes sandwich platters are available at an additional charge.

1.0 Administration 1.1 Terms and conditions are being issued upon booking; the booking form needs to be completed in full. 1.2 Full payment is required upon booking. 1.3 The birthday administrator will require a minimum of 14 days to cancel your booking, a 50% administration fee will remain payable for any cancellation. Failure to provide 14 days notice may prevent a refund being issued. In cases of sickness a full refund minus a 15% administrative fee will be refunded as long as a doctors note is provided. 1.4 Payments are to be made in centre by card payment only; payments made by phone are not permitted, unless a signed booking form with a customer signature has been received. 1.5 The birthday party administrator will require a minimum of 2 weeks notice for any changes to your booking. We regret that we will not be able to accommodate any changes made after this period. 1.6 If you wish to add any guests onto your booking, a minimum of 1 weeks notice is required. 2.0 General Party Rules 2.1 All customers should adhere to the leisure centre rules, which are displayed throughout the premises. 2.2 Please enter the building 20 minutes before your party starts. 2.3 A birthday party host will be provided along with relevant instructors, dependent on the type of birthday party. 2.4 The party activity will last 1 hour, and 45 minutes for food in a party room after the activity has finished prompt exit will be required to allow full sanitisation of the party room for the next party. 2.5 Please ensure all attendees are aware of the times of booking, we regret that we will be unable to alter times or provide extensions to your booking on the day. 2.6 If additional guests are added to your party, payment needs to be made before the date of the party and payment is non-refundable. 2.7 The hirer will need to ensure that they have the contact details of all of the parents/guardians of the children in attendance for use in the event of an emergency. 2.8 Better cannot accept liability for the loss, damage, or theft of any items. Please take care not to leave belongings behind or unattended, and please do not bring valuables to the centre. 2.9 You can access the party room a maximum of 30 minutes before the party food time. 2.10 External food is not permitted in the party, with the exception of the birthday cake(s). 2.11 Use of cameras and video equipment specifically within the party area and used by parents/guardians of children attending the party is permitted with the permission of the Duty Manager on duty.

2.12 Alcohol is not permitted to be consumed within Children’s birthday parties. 2.13 Music is permitted in the party room. However, you will need to provide your own music equipment. 3.0 Soft Play 3.1 No food, drinks or chewing gum should be taken into the soft play area. 3.2 Children must remove jewellery, badges and sharp objects from their clothing to avoid injury to themselves and others. 3.3 Shoes should be removed before entering the soft play area, socks must be worn at all times. 3.4 Children who feel unwell should not enter the play area. 3.5 Please do not play in front of the slide exits or climb on the structure or netting. 4.0 Pool Parties and Swim Safely Rules (Please note that the party will not go ahead if you do not adhere to the Swim Safely rules) 4.1 All customers must wear appropriate and clean swimming attire. All swimmers must abide by the general pool rules. 4.2 All Better swimming pools are staffed with Lifeguards. However, it is a condition of booking that the following Swim Safely Admission Rules are adhered to: • Under 8’s and non swimmers under 16 must be accompanied by a competent adult swimmer (over 16 years old and able to swim at least 25 metres) • No more than two under 8’s or non swimmers under 16 to each competent adult swimmer • The competent adult swimmer must actively supervise under 8’s and non swimmers under 16 • Under 8’s and all non swimmers must remain in shallow water • It is strongly recommended that under 8’s and all non swimmers wear armbands and / or another appropriate type of buoyancy aid • Non swimmers over the age of 16 are recommended to be accompanied in the water by a competent adult swimmer 4.3 The party will not be permitted to go ahead without the correct adult supervision ratios. 4.4 Any spectators must view the activity from our viewing gallery. 5.0 COVID-19 secure 5.1 Please do not attend if experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. 5.2 Social distancing must be maintained where possible. 5.3 Prompt exit at the end of the party to allow full sanitisation of the party room.

I confirm that I have read and understood the terms and conditions of Waddon’s birthday parties and have completed this booking form in full. (Your birthday party will not be confirmed until this has been completed and the full payment has been made). I confirm that I fully understand the pool parties and swim safely rules and ratio requirements and it is my responsibility to ensure the child to adult ratios are met. Please note that although you may have a kids activity instructor throughout the 1 hour 45 minutes to help you facilitate the party, the care and supervising the children attending the party remains with the party hirer.
