Birthday Parties

Important Supervision Requirement:

• If the required 2:1 supervision ratio is not met, swimmers will not be permitted to continue.
• If appropriate supervision ratios are not met at the start of the session, the party will not be permitted to go ahead.
• It is the responsibility of the booking organiser to ensure correct supervision ratios are met before the session.

Please comply with the following rules:

• Under 8’s and non swimmers 11-17 must be accompanied by a competent adult swimmer
• No more than two under 8’s or non swimmers 11-17 to each  competent adult swimmer
• The competent adult swimmer must actively supervise under 8’s and non swimmers 11-17
• Under 8’s and all non swimmers must remain in shallow water
  We strongly recommend under 8’s and all non swimmers use armbands and/or an appropriate buoyancy aid
• Swim testing by lifeguards may be implemented to check the ability of swimmers before they are allowed into deep water. Please see details below: 
• This will be at the discretion of the lifeguard on position.The swim test requires swimmers to swim one length of the pool (25m) in a recognized swimming stroke without stopping. 
• When swimmers pass the test, they will be provided with a wristband to help highlight to lifeguards they are deemed safe in deeper water. 
  Swimmers who do not pass the swim test will be required to stay within shallow water under the supervision of a competent adult. 
• If parents are unable to adhere to the 2:1 supervisory ratio, then all swimmers may not be allowed to continue swimming. This is for the safety of all swimmers. 

It’s extremely important adults ensure they have the right supervisory ratios before booking their swimming session to ensure all visitors can enjoy their swim. 
 
Please adhere to the poolside rules otherwise you maybe asked to leave.

Advice to adult non swimmers:It is recommended that non swimmers over the age of 16 are accompanied in the water by a competent adult swimmer

All swimmers must wear clean swimwear, you can find our guide to appropriate swimwear here.

Inappropriate swimwear includes underwear or any garment with obscene or offensive pictures or slogans. Denim or heavy garments, including cotton leggings, long flowing clothes and baggy t-shirts. Swimwear that is not made from chlorine-resistant materials may be damaged.

We would advise that weak or non-swimmers wear close-fitting swimwear (i.e. swimming trunks or a full swimsuit). Our staff at the centre reserve the right to determine whether swimwear is appropriate.

Accessible changing rooms and pool hoist is available for customers who require them.

Please speak with the staff upon arrival to be given access or for further information.

Our centre uses lockers secured with padlocks, not £1 coins. Padlocks can be purchased at reception, subject to availability, or you may bring your own. Lockers are for use during your visit only and are cleared on a nightly basis, so please collect all belongings once you have finished your time at the centre.

You are welcome to bring your own food and birthday cake to enjoy in the designated party area following your pool session.

Please note:

• Food and cakes are not provided by the centre.
• All food must be prepared and ready to serve (no on-site cooking facilities are available).
• The centre cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. It is the responsibility of the party organiser to be aware of any allergies among guests and to manage food accordingly.
• Alcohol is strictly prohibited on the premises.

We kindly ask that all guests tidy up after the party and use the bins provided.
