Junior Gym Induction
At Platinum Jubilee Leisure Centre, junior gym inductions provide youths aged between 11 -17 years dedicated time with one of our qualified fitness instructors to help ensure effective and safe use of our gym facilities.
An induction must be completed before juniors are able to attend junior gym sessions.
Junior Gym
Dedicated gym sessions where juniors agd between 11-17 years are welcome to enjoy the gym with specialised guidance from our experienced fitness instructors.
We do have some age restrictions on our gym equipment. Junior members aged between 11 and 15 years can use cardiovascular and fixed resistance machines such as treadmills, chest press machines etc. Juniors must be aged between 16 and 17 years to use the free weights.

If your prefer to work out with others then why not try one of our junior fitness classes. If your aged between 11-17 years, these are the perfect introduction to the benefits of group exercise. Each class is tailored to suit all ability levels and use a whole range of functional equipment and body weight exercises.
Adult and Junior Gym
These sessions provide the opportunity for adult members to bring one junior aged 11-17 years to the gym with them. Children aged 11-15 years must be actively supervised at all times and juniors are not permitted to use free weights (above 10kg) and free weight machines in these sessions.
