Book Lending

Whatever your age or interest we have a wide range of books that you can borrow for free. You may borrow up to 30 books for up to three weeks. Large print and talking books are also available. Click on the link below to search our catalogue.



Enjoy free internet access to help you with your studies or research, for checking your email or simply for surfing the web. You can also use our computers for writing letters, preparing a CV or having a look at your holiday photos.

Printing and Photocopying

Our PaperCut system allows you to securely manage your printing, scanning and photocopying using the library's public computers and multi-function device (MFD). PaperCut also allows you to print securely to the library MFD via WiFi or from home. If you do not want to set up a PaperCut account then staff release printing is available via our Quick Use computers. If you only wish to photocopy then copy cards can be purchased at the Enquiry Desk. Please see our Fees tab for details of charges.


Free WiFi

Free Wi-Fi is available in the library. Our PaperCut system also allows you to print securely to the library MFD via WiFi

DVD Hire

We have a wide selection of DVDs that can be hired for one week. Please see our Fees tab for details of charges

Local and Family History

Please note that reference resources are currently unavailable

All Lincolnshire Libraries hold resources to help you research the history of the County or your family. Larger libraries also hold historic copies of local newspaper on microfilm and the major County Local Studies Collection is held at Lincoln Central Library. Details of online resources to aid family historians can be found in the section below.

Adult and Children’s Activities

Our activities programme has moved online. Our Facebook and Twitter pages @Lincslibraries are full of fun videos and activities presented by some familiar faces. From crafts and rhymes to bed time stories and fun things to do with kids, you'll enjoy something new every day. Activities within the library will restart once restrictions ease and it is safe to do so. 


Readers Groups Services

As well as being an enjoyable social experience being part of a reading group is a great way to expand your reading horizons.

Drama Groups Services

Single and multiple copies of playsets are available for theatre and drama groups to borrow.
