55+ FITNESS CLASSES
Aqua Aerobics
Designed specifically for seniors, beginners, and those returning to exercise, this low-impact class is ideal for individuals with arthritis, osteoporosis, joint replacements, diabetes, and other medical conditions. Held in the Training Pool, where the water level is waist-deep, this session offers a gentle yet effective way to improve mobility, strength, and cardiovascular health in a supportive environment.
Functional Fitness Basic
This gentle, low-impact fitness class is perfect for individuals managing medical conditions such as arthritis, osteoporosis, asthma, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or a high BMI. It is also ideal for those recovering from surgery, including hip and knee replacements, as well as cancer patients looking to regain strength. If you're new to exercise, feeling unfit, or have never been to a gym class before, this supportive and welcoming session is a great way to start your fitness journey in a safe and encouraging environment.
Pilates
Gently train your physique and improve core strenght in a calming, yet challenging atmpsphere. Pilates exercises focus on lenghtening and strenghtening muscles while challenging the core, to build a revived and resilient you.
YOUNG AT HEART CLUB
The Young at Heart Club is designed for those aged 50+ who are looking to stay active and engaged in a social environment. Join us in the Sports Hall on the following days:
- Tuesdays - 10:30am to 3:00pm
- Wednesdays - 12:30pm to 3:00pm
- Thursdays - 12:00pm to 3:00pm
The club offers a variety of activities, including short mat bowls, badminton, swimming, and access to the gym, ensuring that there’s something for everyone to enjoy and stay fit. Come along, make new friends, and have fun while staying active.
