We’re proud to host the Eddie Joseph Memorial Cup Final this weekend with an exciting matchup between the Peterborough Phantoms and the Haringey Huskies on Saturday 14 March.

The tournament honours the legacy of Eddie Joseph, a hugely respected figure in British ice hockey and a central part of the Lee Valley Lions for almost four decades.

Eddie passed away in December 2022, leaving behind a lasting legacy within the club and the wider hockey community. He played more than 200 games for the original Lions during the 1980s and 1990s and later played a key role in the revival of the club in 2005.

The memorial cup celebrates his dedication to the sport and brings together five teams: the Lee Valley Lions, Chelmsford Warriors, Haringey Huskies, Peterborough Phantoms, and Invicta Mustangs.

This weekend’s final promises fast paced action, while also paying tribute to a player whose passion and commitment helped shape the Lee Valley Lions for generations.

Fans are encouraged to come along and be part of a special evening of hockey that celebrates both the sport and the memory of one of its most dedicated figures. Please note, tickets are only available to purchase online.
