Join us for a winter stroll as we embrace the local community.

Winter can be a tough time for some and we want to ensure that everyone is invited to celebrate the new year and to enjoy a social walk in the beautiful surroundings of Lee Valley Regional Park and the River Lea followed by tea and coffee to finish - as well as a chance to rest your legs!

The Great Get Together, inspired by Jo Cox MP, has been bringing communities together since 2017 with community events around the UK acting as places where people can find meaningful connection, and show that winter doesn’t have to be lonely.

Lee Valley White Water Centre, in collaboration with Lee Valley Regional Park Authority, is delighted to invite you to this free community walk, as part of the Great Winter Get Together on Sunday 14 January.

Simon Hemmings, Community Sports Manager for GLL, explains: “This will be a great chance to get the community together and celebrate the local surroundings and enjoy a nice warm cup of tea and chat afterwards.”

Everyone is welcome to meet at Lee Valley White Water Centre from 10:00 with the walk due to start at 10:30 and last for one hour, before returning to warm up with a tea and coffee. We look forward to welcoming you!
