With more than 90 stations in the Main Gym and an additional 25 in the Programme Gym, Abraham Moss Library & Leisure Centre Gym has something for everyone. Whether you’re looking to build strength, work on cardio, or mix things up with functional training, you’ll find the equipment and support you need. Featuring the latest Technogym kit, including smart tracking with MOVEs and MOVERGY, it’s easy to monitor your progress and stay motivated. Women-only sessions and Junior Gym times make it an inclusive space for all ages and abilities.

What's Available at The Gym?

From a 90-station Main Gym to a 25-station Programme Gym, Abraham Moss has everything you need for a complete workout. Take a look.

Main Gym

Light, bright and airy, with views across Manchester, the Main Gym offers over 90 stations of Technogym equipment. The cardio area includes treadmills, stair climbers, cross trainers, SkillRow, SkillBike, SkillMill, SkiErg, Assault bike, upright and recumbent bikes, hand bike and spin bikes. The resistance zone features leg extensions and curls, shoulder and chest presses, leg press, low row, abductor/adductor, abdominal crunch and dual adjustable pulley. Free weights include dumbbells up to 40kg, alongside a squat rack and hack squat . The functional area adds variety with a box-fit punch station, jump boxes, kettlebells, yoga mats, ropes and benches.

Programme Gym

Located on the first floor, the Programme Gym offers 25 additional stations of Technogym equipment. This space is used for women-only and junior sessions, but is available for general use outside of timetabled slots. It’s equipped with treadmills, cross trainers, stair climbers, SkillRow, SkiErg, recumbent bikes, strength machines including a squat rack, and resistance kit from chest press to leg curl. The free weights section includes dumbbells (2–20kg) and sandbags, with functional kit such as barbells, boxes and kettlebells.

Technogym Equipment

Our gyms at Abraham Moss feature state-of-the-art Technogym kit with integrated workout tracking. Members can access over 1,000 pre-loaded routines using bodyweight or equipment-based exercises, and track progress with smart watches via MOVEs and MOVERGY.

Women Only Gym

Dedicated women-and-girls sessions run regularly in the Programme Gym, offering a private and supportive environment to train.
