Welcome to Moss Side Leisure Centre gym in Manchester. Moss Side is home to three dedicated training spaces: the Main Gym, Programme Gym and Strength Gym. With over 120 stations of Technogym equipment, it’s ideal for everyone from beginners to experienced athletes. Whether you want to focus on cardio, build strength, lift free weights or train functionally, you’ll find the facilities to support your goals. There are also women-only sessions and Junior Gym times, making this an inclusive space for the whole community.

The Main Gym has an open layout with over 120 stations of equipment arranged into zones. The cardio area includes treadmills, rowers, StairMasters, cross trainers, upright bikes, spin bikes and an arm cycle. In the resistance zone, you’ll find machines such as chest and shoulder presses, leg curls and extensions, lateral pulldowns, low rows, and abdominal curls. There’s also a functional space with medicine balls, kettlebells, sandbags, and a stretching area. Free weights include dumbbells up to 12kg and benches. Great for accessory or lighter lifting.
Located on the first floor, the Strength Gym is designed for more advanced training. It features squat racks, a Smith machine, multipower squat rack, incline and decline bench presses, and dumbbells up to 50kg. You’ll also find a chest press, cable towers, dual cable stack, lat pulldown and bicep curl stations, plus a punch bag. This dedicated zone is perfect for lifters looking to build strength and power.
The Programme Gym on the ground floor provides a more private space for group-specific sessions, including women-only, junior, older adult and disability groups. The equipment here includes treadmills, upright bikes, cross trainers, StairMasters, leg machines, dumbbells up to 12kg, and dual pulley machines. With a stretching area and a good mix of cardio and resistance kit, it offers everything you need for a focused workout in a smaller, supportive environment.
Dedicated women-only sessions are hosted in the Programme Gym, providing a private and comfortable environment for women and girls to train. Junior Gym
We run supervised Junior Gym sessions for 11–17 year olds. These give young people the chance to use the gym in a safe, structured and supportive environment.
