Southfields Library offers a variety of events, sessions and classes, giving you the perfect opportunity to meet people or learn something new. There are sessions for both adults and children. Visit the timetable tab of your local library for session times available in your area.

Reading Groups
Our monthly reading groups are a great way to share your thoughts on the book of the month. Wednesday Reading Group, second Wednesday of each month 5.30-6.30pm. Saturday Reading Group, second Saturday of the month 11.45am-1pm.
Baby Rhyme Time
Help your little ones learn, with songs and rhymes for children aged 0-2. Every Friday at 2.30-3pm. Dad's Rhyme Time, once every two weeks, Saturday 10.30-11am.
Story Time
Inspire their imaginations early, with stories for children aged 2-5. Every Wednesday at 10.15am.
Ballet Babes
Tiny tots take their first steps in ballet through music and movement. This fun class is a great introduction to dance and for ages 18 months – 3 years. Friday 11-11.30am.
Scrabble club
Join our Scrabble group and learn new words along the way. Everyone over 7 years are welcome. Every Wednesday from 3-5pm. Just turn up and have fun.
Silver Circle Reading Group
A reading group for the over sixties; meet up with other people to share your take (and a cup of tea!) on the selected book of the month. Last Tuesday of the month 2-3pm.
Classic Book Group
Literature explored and explained in a social setting. Join us 12.30-1.30pm on the first Wednesday of each month to chat about the chosen classic novel
Knit and Natter
Knit and Natter is a sociable activity for anyone who enjoys knitting, crochet, or cross stitching; a chance to share hints and tips, swap patterns and make new friends. The Southfields group meets every Tuesday from 12-1.30pm.
