Game on! Earlier opening hours arrive at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre

We've got two great reasons to visit Lee Valley Hockey & Tennis Centre even more often.

From August, we're opening earlier at 08:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, giving you extra time to make the most of your day or fit a visit around your schedule. Whether you're looking to hire a court to play with friends or enjoy a lesson, our new opening times are here to help.

And there's even more to look forward to. Later this August, we'll be introducing table tennis in the Clubhouse, giving you another great way to enjoy racquet sports during your visit.

Perfect for friends, families and a bit of friendly competition, our new table tennis tables will offer a fun way to get active, challenge your mates or simply try something different before or after your court booking.

Whether you're popping in for an early morning start or planning a visit later in the month to try table tennis, there's never been a better time to visit.

Come down, make the most of our new 8am opening times, and keep an eye out for the launch of table tennis later this August – we can't wait to welcome you!

New social sessions

We will be introducing a range of social sport sessions from Monday 10 August. Please find our full range of sessions below.

Walking netball
A slower paced version of netball with no running or jumping, making it suitable for all abilities and fitness levels. Enjoy gentle exercise, fun games and a friendly social atmosphere.

Social table tennis
Friendly daytime table tennis sessions for all abilities. Whether you’re a beginner or returning to the game, enjoy relaxed play, improve your skills and meet new people in a welcoming environment.

50+ social tennis
Relaxed tennis sessions for adults aged 50 and over. Whether you’re returning to tennis or picking up a racket again, enjoy friendly games, build confidence and meet others on court.

Social tennis
Friendly adult tennis sessions focused on matchplay, staying active, and meeting other players. Enjoy organised doubles games, plenty of court time, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

Tennis classes

From Tuesday 25 August, a variety of tennis classes will also be available. Please see below for the full range of extra classes.
