Men’s First Team Crowned Essex League Champions Again.

We're proud to celebrate another fantastic achievement for our men's first team, who have been crowned Essex League First Division champions for the fourth time in the last five seasons.

The Essex League is a highly competitive regional competition running from April to July, with teams battling it out over a 15-week season. This year's title is another testament to the dedication, consistency and quality of the squad, whose core group has remained together throughout this successful period.

The team is made up of players with strong competitive backgrounds who train regularly together at Lee Valley. Alongside competing, Jamie and Tiago also coach at the venue, helping to create a strong link between performance tennis and the wider community.

Across the last five seasons, several players have been ever-present, forming the foundation of the team's sustained success, while newer additions have strengthened an already impressive squad. The club's three men's teams also benefit from a collaborative approach to player development and recruitment.

Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre is proud to support the Essex League programme by providing approximately £2,200 worth of court time and tennis balls for each seasons' matches, helping our teams compete at the highest level.
