- More info »

London Youth Games is an inclusive, city-focused, schools competition that encourages the participation in sport for young people. Competiive events are kicking off this year with the first ParaGames event being held at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre on 21 and 23 February 2023. The chosen sport for the first ParaGames event will have participants playing Boccia.

Is this the first time you've heard of Boccia?

Boccia is an action packed and sociable game that is currently the fastest growing disability sport in the world. A game of precision, the sport can be played by people of all ages and abilities and involves players throwing their balls as close as possible to the target ball, known as the ‘jack’.

One of the key aims of the Games is to encourage more young people with disabilities to take up the sport. By providing a national platform for young players to showcase their skills, the London Youth Gasmes event aims to inspire a new generation of boccia enthusiasts.

Overall, the Mini Boccia Competition offers an opportunity for students to showcase their skills, make new friends, and inspire others to take up the sport.

We can't wait to see the action unfold!
