Open Water Swimming Is Back for Winter at LVWWC
Love open water swimming? You don’t have to stop over winter.
We've launched a new winter open water swimming programme, running until Sunday 29 March 2026.
Swim year round in clean, clear, chlorinated water - all the freedom of open water, with the water quality of a pool.
There are plenty of sessions across the week, from early mornings to evenings and weekends:
Monday: 7:30 - 10:00 | 16:45 - 17:45 | 18:00 - 19:00
Tuesday: 7:30 - 10:00
Wednesday: 7:30 - 10:00 | 13:00 - 14:00 | 17:00 - 18:00 | 19:30 - 20:30
Thursday: 7:30 - 10:00 | 13:00 - 14:00 | 17:30 - 18:30
Friday: 7:30 - 10:00 | 13:00 - 14:00 | 17:30 - 18:30
Saturday: 7:30 - 9:30 | 14:45 - 15:45 | 16:00 - 17:00
Sunday: 7:30 - 9:30 | 14:45 - 15:45 | 16:00 - 17:00
The Swim Courses
- 250m triangular loop for main sessions
- 100m course when water temperature drops below 11°C
- 25m acclimatisation area for warm-ups or cold water confidence

What You Need to Know
- Bright coloured swim hats only (no black)
- Juniors must wear a green hat
- Tow floats are mandatory (free to borrow)
- Wetsuits recommended below 11°C (hire available)
- Wetsuits not recommended above 25°C
- Swim hats and nose clips available to buy at reception
Whether you’re training for a triathlon, into cold water swimming, or just fancy trying something new, Open Water Swimming is a great way to stay active all winter.
We’ll also be launching a new summer programme as a great way to keep up your training and also cool off in the heat.
