Debdale Outdoor Centre at 1073 Hyde Road in Gorton gives you access to water sports right on the edge of Manchester. The reservoir is the heart of everything here, where you can learn sailing, windsurfing and paddling through RYA courses or just hire a paddleboard and get out on the water. We run RYA OnBoard sailing and windsurfing programmes, plus RYA Swim Safe sessions during summer. Whether you're booking a taster session or working through club pathway qualifications, there's something for beginners through to experienced sailors. Corporate packages are available if you're after team-building activities, and we support local schools with outdoor education programmes. Under-16s need an adult with them, and we provide buoyancy aids and wetsuits so you can just turn up ready to try something different. This facility is part of a unique collection of community and elite facilities governed by Manchester Active, a not for profit organisation established and overseen by Manchester City Council.
