Have Your Say on Transport Links to Lee Valley Athletics Centre
We recognise that travelling to our venue by public transport can be challenging for visitors, athletes and event goers, but now there’s an opportunity to help shape future connections.
Transport for London (TfL) is currently consulting on proposed changes to local bus routes in the area and is asking for public feedback. While the consultation presents a chance to improve access, the current proposals do not significantly enhance transport links to the centre.
Under TfL’s plans, the W8 bus would no longer serve Lee Valley Leisure Complex. Instead, route 192 would be diverted to the site. However, the proposed changes would still leave no direct bus connection to Tottenham Hale Station which is a link that would dramatically improve accessibility and make it far easier for people to reach us via the Victoria Line, National Rail and Stansted Express.
We believe a stronger connection to Tottenham Hale would be a game changer for our venue, supporting greater participation, improved inclusivity and easier access for events and competitions.
TfL is inviting feedback as part of its public consultation, and we encourage anyone who visits or uses Lee Valley Athletics Centre to share their views. The survey takes around 10 minutes to complete, but your input could make a real difference.
The consultation closes on 23 February, so please make sure your voice is heard before then by clicking on the link below
