Whether you're visiting for the first time or curious about joining our community, we’re excited to welcome you to our Open Weekend this November 22nd and 23rd.
At Dorking Sports Centre, we’re committed to supporting health, fitness, and well-being for individuals and families of all ages and abilities. This weekend is designed to help our community stay active, connected, and thriving throughout the winter months.
In alignment with Social Enterprise Day and its theme, “Thriving on Purpose,” we’ll be celebrating the positive impact of inclusive, purpose-driven opportunities. From trying a new sport to joining a group class, there’s something for everyone.

- Fully equipped gym (please note, free gym sessions are paused due to refurbishment, but the gym will be open for use)
- Swimming pools – both main and small pools
- Group fitness classes including Yoga, Cycling, and LES MILLS
- Sports courts for Pickleball, Badminton, Basketball, and more
- Personal training to help you reach your goals
- Health suite with Sauna and Steam Room

Using the Better UK app: Select the Open Weekend tab under ‘Other Activities’ on the home screen.
Using the website: Choose Book an Activity and then select Open Weekend.
Swimming sessions: Book under the Swimming tab.
Not a member? No problem. Create a free account at https://bookings.better.org.uk/register and book your preferred sessions. You’ll need to agree to the activity terms and conditions, including a signed waiver for centre access.

What to bring: Wear comfortable clothing suitable for physical activity. Equipment is provided. Please bring a towel and water.
Health Conditions: Let a staff member know about any health conditions before participating.
New to the Centre: If you’re unfamiliar with any activity or equipment, our team is here to help. Please warm up before any physical activity and ask for guidance if needed.

Open Day Social Badminton Club – Adults
Duration: 60 minutes
Description: Our Adult social badminton sessions are a great way to have fun and stay healthy whilst making new friends. Whether you’re picking up a racket for the first time or just looking for a casual hit, social badminton is the perfect way to stay active and connected. Equipment will be provided, 16+ Years.
Open Day Social Badminton Club – Juniors
Duration: 60 minutes
Description: Our Junior social badminton sessions are a great way to have fun and stay healthy whilst making new friends. Whether you’re picking up a racket for the first time or just looking for a casual hit, social badminton is the perfect way to stay active and connected. Equipment will be provided, 8-15 years.
Open Day Social Pickleball Club – Adults
Duration: 60 minutes
Description: Try our social pickleball sessions, a fun way to stay active and meet new people. With its easy-to-learn rules and sociable pace, pickleball is perfect for all ages and abilities. Come along and discover why it’s one of the fastest-growing sports around! Equipment will be provided, 16+ Years.
Open Day Social Basketball Club – Juniors
Duration: 60 minutes
Description: Try our Junior social basketball sessions, where you can enjoy the game in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just looking to shoot some hoops for fun, there’s a place for you on the court. Equipment will be provided, 6-15 years.
Open Day Mind and Body Fitness Master Class
Duration: 60mins
Description: Feel better inside and out with our Mind and Body group fitness classes. Build your strength and flexibility in our lower-impact classes like Pilates and feel revived and relaxed with our mindfulness-focused sessions, such as Yoga. Experience a few of the disciplines in this Mind and Body Masterclass.
