Sunday Fun Day Returns to Kendal for Fifth Annual Community Celebration

Better, in partnership with Kendal Integrated Care Community (ICC) and The Bay Health Festivals, is delighted to announce the return of Sunday Fun Day, taking place on Sunday 1st November from 10:30am to 2:30pm at Kendal Leisure Centre.

Now in its fifth year, Sunday Fun Day has become a popular fixture in the local calendar, offering a free and inclusive event for families, children and residents of all ages. The event aims to encourage people to be active, try something new and discover the wide range of health, wellbeing and community support available across South Lakeland.

Visitors can look forward to a packed programme of activities throughout the day, including:

  • 10:45am – Wheel for All session
  • 11:25am – Dance Attik
  • 12:00pm – Kendal Dance Academy
  • 12:30pm – Performance from Westmorland Youth Orchestra
  • 2:00pm – Fika app demonstration

Alongside the scheduled performances and taster sessions, there will be a variety of drop-in activities available throughout the event, including:

  • Bouncy castle 11:15am onwards 
  • Smoothie bike
  • Games and activities
  • Wellbeing information and support
  • Health checks

The event reflects the ongoing commitment of Better, Kendal ICC and The Bay Health Festivals to work together in supporting healthier, happier and more connected communities. By bringing partners and residents together in an informal and welcoming environment, Sunday Fun Day provides an opportunity for people to access local services, build social connections and find activities that support their physical and mental wellbeing.

Entry to Sunday Fun Day is completely free and no booking is required.
