The Archive collection includes the records of significant individuals, places, institutions and organisations within the borough and is the place of deposit for borough council records.
Our core collections include:
Council minutes and planning documents for the London Borough of Bromley and its predecessor authorities
Parish records for the Deaneries of Bromley, Beckenham and Orpington
Electoral registers
Bromley Workhouse records
Magistrate court records
School records
Estate papers
Business papers
Personal papers

Local Studies

The Local Studies Library makes accessible published works relating to the borough's people, places and organisations.

This includes: Books and articles
Ordnance Survey and GOAD Maps
Local Newspapers and magazines
Photographs and illustrations
Pamphlets
Street and telephone directories
Specialist collections on the Crystal Palace, Walter de la Mare, Enid Blyton and H.G. Wells. Access to Ancestry Library Edition on all Bromley library PC's

Museum

Bromley museum collection consists of objects of importance to the history and identity of the borough, including:
Archaeological finds
Social history
Ethnographic material, including the Lubbock Collection
Natural history
Fine Arts
Medals and coins

Access to the museum collection is by appointment only. The museum fine art collection can be searched at ArtUK https://artuk.org/visit/collection/bromley-historic-collections-2466.
