‘Know Your Risk’: Diabetes week event at Brent Cross Shopping Centre 

Come along to the main atrium (Centre Court) inside Brent Cross Shopping Centre on Friday 14 June, 10am-6pm, to learn about type 2 diabetes and how to prevent it. 

  • Get a FREE ‘Know your risk’ score for type 2 diabetes. 
  • Get health and wellbeing advice from a range of professionals including tips and support to help you:

London Youth Games

Calling out all Schools, Clubs, and Athletes! We are thrilled to share some exciting news about the upcoming London Youth Games 2024 Sports. Please have a look at the new calendar for specific games and let us know if there is any interest in any particular sport.

The London Youth Games (LYG) Foundation aims to inspire and enable every young Londoner to find their best through sport with opportunities to compete, volunteer and support. 

The games have a history of producing the country’s highest profile athletes such as Mark Hunter, Christine Ohuorugu and Sir Bradley Wiggins.

Thousands of young people from all London Boroughs compete in over 30 different sports

London Youth Games Calendar 2024

Dance Barnet

The sparkling finals of Dance Barnet, a pan-disability Strictly-inspired dance competition, took place on Thursday 16th May at the Pentland Theatre in the Arts Depot, East Finchley. The event showcased the talents of ten disabled participants, each paired with a professional dancer, as they performed in an inspiring celebration of inclusive dance.

This special initiative was designed to make dance accessible to everyone and to encourage more disabled people in the community to be active. Through their performances, the competitors demonstrated the power of dance to bring joy and foster a sense of community, highlighting the importance of inclusion in the arts.
