Whether you’re looking to improve your child’s confidence in the water, swim safety awareness or want to help your child learn to swim, we have swimming classes that cater for all levels of ability and ages.
Swimming
We offer Swim For All sessions in both the Learner Pool & Main Pool these are casual swimming sessions which cater for all abilities and ages. For children who prefer lane swimming we offer Swim For Fitness sessions in the Main Pool, any children attending Swim For Fitness Sessions need to be competent swimmers over the age of 11.
Birthday Parties

Holiday Activities
During the school holidays Glass Mill Leisure Centre will be offering a range of activities to keep your children entertained.
Junior Gym and Junior Memberships
If you are aged 11-17 years and want to work out in the gym over half term we have lots of extra sessions available!
- Monday to Friday 12.30pm–5.30pm
- Saturday & Sunday 9am–4pm
Please note that on your first visit you will be required to complete a gym induction with a fitness instructor. Inductions are available during the junior gym times.

Adult & Child (9-15 yrs)
Calling all gym members with children! Would you like to bring along your child to train with you in the gym, for free?
Our 'Adult and Junior Gym’ session are for adult members where they can bring along their child (maximum one child per adult) at no extra charge and support/supervise them during their workout.
The reservation must be made by the adult who books the ‘adult and junior gym’ session with their membership (or pays as a non member). The junior does not need to be booked into the session but must be supervised and accompanied at all times.
- Monday to Friday 7am-5.30pm
- Saturday & Sunday 9am-4pm
Supervision: Please note that the adult/parent must actively supervise child at all times and takes responsibility for the child’s conduct and safe use of machines. Only children between 9-15yrs are permitted in the session and it is limited to one child per one supervising adult. If an adult is found to not be supervising or the child is misusing gym equipment or misbehaving then both parties may be asked to leave.
Booking:
- Book your session, up to 7 days in advance, via our Better UK app or online.

Should you opt for a pay as you go option you can pay for your child’s visit by card in advance online or on our Better UK app. Alternatively, we have partnered with nimbl, a pre-paid debit card and smartphone app with unique parental controls, helping children aged 8-18 learn how to spend and save responsibly.
Creche
In partnership with Just Little Kidz the creche at Glass Mill is now open
Just Little Kidz will be offering crèche, breakfast and after school clubs for children aged from 3 months to 5 years.
