Wandsworth Heritage Service is the archives and local history library for Wandsworth, covering Wandsworth, Battersea, Putney, Tooting and Balham. We also hold some information for Clapham and Streatham which were part of the borough of Wandsworth before 1965.  It is better to request archive material in advance as it is not always possible to produce it on demand. Our search room is situated on the first floor of Battersea Library, which has stair only access.  Please let us know if you require alternative arrangements to view materials on the ground floor. Email heritage@gll.org Any correspondence with Wandsworth Heritage Service will be retained for seven years and kept in a database to assist us in answering future enquiries.
