FIT & ACTIVE BARNET (FAB) CARD
The Fit and Active Barnet (FAB) Card is a free membership available to Barnet residents, providing access to a range of benefits across all five Barnet Leisure Centres and community activities.
Follow the steps below to sign up online to your free FAB Card, alternatively you can visit one of the five Barnet Leisure Centres across the borough and sign up in person.
FAB Card Registration
Step 1
Review the below eligibility criteria to discover the right FAB card for you. Please note that you will need to select a Barnet leisure centre on registration, however once registered, your FAB Card can be used across all Barnet leisure centres and in community activities where accepted.

Barnet Resident receiving one of the following: Income Support, Housing Benefit, Council Tax Benefit, Working Tax Credit, Severe Disablement Allowance, Senior Citizens (55+ years) or Full Time Students Living or Studying in Barnet. |

| FAB Adult Carer | Over 16 |
Barnet residents who are registered carers including foster carers, looked after children and children and young people who are care experienced. |

* FAB Card concession and FAB Card Carer offers additional discounts at off-peak times (Mon-Fri 9:00-16:00 and after 13:00 on weekends)
Step 2
Once on the online joining site, simply type in Barnet into the search bar and all our Barnet leisure centres will be listed for you to choose your home centre.
Please note that you will need to select a Barnet leisure centre on registration, however once registered, your FAB Card can be used across all Barnet leisure centres and in community activities where accepted.
Step 3
Once you have selected your chosen Barnet leisure centre you will be taken to the page to choose your membership.
First you need to click onto Single payment.
Please note: There is no fee for a FAB Card.
Step 4
Once all Single membership options are displayed, scroll to the bottom of the screen to see the selection of Fab membership's you can choose from.
To proceed with a membership type, please click on choose this membership.
Step 5
You will now be directed to complete all our registration details for the membership, please follow the step by step instructions on screen.
Next steps
Once you have successfully registered for your FAB Card, you will receive an automated email about how to set up the Better UK App to enable you to obtain your digital FAB Card, as well as book and manage activities at your local Better leisure centre.
If you would like a physical FAB Card, please visit one of the Better leisure centres who will be happy to arrange this for you.
If you are applying for a Concessionary or Carers FAB card, you will be required to log in to your account and upload your eligibility proof:
Carer approved documentation includes:
- Copy of your confirmation of registration with Barnet Carers Centre
- A letter from the London Borough of Barnet
Concessionary approved documentation includes proof of:
- Housing benefit
- Income Support
- Job Seekers’ Allowance
- Working Families Tax Credit
- Carers Allowance
- Universal Credit
- Refugee Status
