Here at Penrith Leisure Centre We have a 25m, five lane main pool and 13m Learner/Family pool. You can swim for fitness or fun, learn to swim, improve your style or take part in a water workout class. We are located close to the Lake District and we welcome visitors as well as locals.
We have local swimming and triathlon clubs that train at Penrith Leisure Centre and welcome new members.

Swim for fitness is located in our 25m pool in which it is split in to 4 or 5 lanes. There is a quick, Intermediate, slow and two leisure lanes. These sessions are great for beginners to advanced swimmers, offering a low impact workout. We also have a hoist to help those who may struggle or need assistance getting in to the pool.
Swim for All sessions are family sessions for everyone. These sessions take place in both of our pools and can be used to swim lengths or splash around with your family. Swim for all sessions mainly take place at lunch times, weekends and school holidays. Check our availability below.
Come and join Karen or Bernie for one of our Aqua Aerobic classes. We run these sessions through the week and are open for everyone to attend. Aqua aerobics combined fitness, strength and conditioning while listening to upbeat music. We run shallow and deep water sessions.
Adult Swimming Lessons can help you learn to swim, work on your technique or give you advise on your swimming. it is for beginners, intermediate and advanced swimmers looking to learn and improve. The session is with one of our friendly, supportive qualified swim teachers. Book your place now or e-mail Bernie for more information.
Come and join us on our inflatable assault course. We run these session during school holidays and on weekends. Challenge your friends to 'duck' and 'dive' your way through the course as you finish down the slide in to the water.
You must be over 8 years of age and be able to swim 25 meters unaided before you can join in. Everyone in the pool must of paid and no one under the age of 8 is allowed in the water during the session.
