Staying active from a young age is key to developing healthy habits, improving fitness, building confidence, and supporting social interaction. Our range of Junior activities will help young people make friends, stay motivated, and enjoy movement in a fun, supportive environment.

Junior Gym
Dedicated gym sessions for juniors aged 11-17 years. Junior members can book and attend the sessions by themselves, while our Fitness Instructors are around to help and provide guidance.
Prior to their first session, all juniors will have to attend a mandatory gym induction.
Term Time:
- Monday to Friday, from 7am to 8.30am & from 3pm to 7pm
- Saturday & Sunday, from 8am to 7pm
School and Bank Holidays:
- Monday to Friday, from 7am to 7pm
- Saturday & Sunday, from 8am to 7pm

Adult and Junior Gym
Junior members aged 11-17 years can bring an adult parent/guardian with them to the gym during Adult and Junior Gym sessions. The accompanying adult will have to either be a Better member or book for a gym session. A great way to encourage your teen to exercise while spending quality time as a family. The adult is required to actively supervise the junior for the whole duration of the session.

- Monday to Friday: from 7pm to 9pm
- Saturday & Sunday: from 12pm to 6pm
School & Bank Holidays:
- Monday to Friday: from 8am to 9pm
- Saturday & Sunday: from 8am to 6pm

Junior Gym Induction
To ensure their safety, all juniors will be required to attend a free of charge induction prior to their first visit of the gym. They will meet with one of our qualified Fitness Instructor, who will show them around the facilities and go through our gym rules. They will explain our to safely use our various equipment and demonstrate how to properly perform exercises.
Please note a parent/guardian will have to be present for the whole duration of the induction.
JUNIOR MEMBERSHIPS
Our Junior Memberships are designed for young people under 18, offering access to a variety of activities including swimming, Junior Gym sessions, Junior Fitness Classes, and more. We offer flexible membership options to suit both frequent users and those who prefer more casual visits. We have listed our membership types below, click on the arrow for details.
Important information:
- Juniors must be at least 11 years old to attend Junior Gym and Junior Classes.
- Membership is subject to eligibility. Proof of age will have to be submitted after joining.
- Members aged 16 and 17 year olds who want full access to adult Gym and Fitness Classes access would need to take out the appropriate Student or Adult membership.
- Swim Safety Rules apply. Children under 8s must be accompanied by an adult competent swimmer during Swim for All and Family Fun Swim sessions. Swim for Fitness sessions are suitable for children aged 11 and over and able to swim 25m unaided. [Find out more about our swim sessions here.]
