Good Friday Track Racing returns to Lee Valley VeloPark for 2024 with an exciting race programme featuring local, national, and international competitors and this time is bigger and better than ever before with UCI status! 

The programme will be jam packed with UCI Elite Men & Women’s endurance events, UCI Sprint competition, UCI junior men's endurance events and a highly competitive support endurance programme for local riders, promising a great cycling spectacle for riders and fans worldwide.

Over the years, the Good Friday Racing event has hosted legendary cyclists such as Stuart O’Grady, Sir Bradley Wiggins, and Sean Yates, solidifying its status as a prestigious competition in the annual cycling calendar. 

Already confirmed for this year, is seven time National Time Trail Champion and Giro De Italia Stage winner Alex Dowsett, National Sprint champion Pete Mitchell, National Points and Scratch Race Champion Jenny Holl, Italian star Francesca Selva and Belgium's 2023 World Junior Team Sprint bronze medallist Tjorvven Mertens.

What sets Good Friday Racing apart from other competitions is its truly 'open' event status, welcoming entries from local clubs, elite teams, and international riders. The program accommodates over 100 riders, featuring a UCI Sprint competition, Elite Men’s endurance event with the renowned Golden Wheel scratch race, as well as Elite Women's and Junior endurance events. 

Established in 1905, Good Friday Racing has a rich history and tradition, maintaining an inclusive approach by providing a level playing field for participants from various backgrounds. 

Spectators are in for a treat, you can witness the action unfold on the fast and world famous Lee Valley VeloPark track. With opportunities for riders to showcase their skills and strategic moves, the event promises plenty of drama and excitement throughout the day as participants vie for glory.
