Our facilities


Black and white and colour printing is available for a small fee. Print in A4 or A3 from our computers or your own laptop.

Study space

Whether you're studying or working, find desks, quiet areas and dedicated study spaces at Orpington Library. 


Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the library. You can log in on your phone, tablet or laptop. 

Charging points

We have plenty of charging points and sockets so you can charge your laptop, phone or tablet at your library.


Scanners are available that allow for documents to be digitised and sent to your email address. This service is free-of-charge.


At Orpington Library, there is paid parking in the Walnuts Car park including accessible parking. 

Workspaces at Orpington Library

Whether you need to use one of our PCs or just a desk to study we have plenty of workspaces at Orpington Library. 

We have desks and quiet study spaces that are free for everyone to use. They're available on a first come, first served basis.

If you need more room, Bromley Central Library and Chislehurst Libraries have spaces for hire for up to 200 people.

As a library member, you can access the adult, junior or student edition of Britannica Online for free.

Careers Advice

Orpington library is a proud host of the National Careers Service. It is a free careers service for individuals and provides information, advice and guidance on learning, training, career choice, career development, job search and the labour market.

Police Surgery

Hosted in Orpington library once a month, police surgeries are opportunities to talk to local Metropolitan police about non-urgent matters and concerns that you may have.
