Winlaton Community Football Club is a welcoming, inclusive grassroots football club providing opportunities for players of all ages, from children aged 4 through to senior level. The club supports both male and female football, with a strong focus on participation, development, enjoyment and being part of the local community.
The club delivers training sessions for all age groups throughout the week,many of which taking place at Blaydon Leisure Centre, with league fixtures taking place at weekends. Our younger players can also take part in dedicated development sessions for ages 4–6, providing a fun and supportive introduction to football and helping children develop their confidence, coordination and fundamental football skills.
Our home ground is Axwell View, Winlaton, where our senior team plays its home fixtures. Local residents, families and football supporters are always welcome to come along and support the team. Fixture information and updates are shared through the club’s social media platforms.
Winlaton Community Football Club is proud to provide a pathway for players to enjoy football from their earliest introduction to the sport through to senior football, while contributing to the health, wellbeing and community spirit of Winlaton and the surrounding area.

Our Partner Club: Whickham Fellside FC
Whickham Fellside FC is an FA accredited community football club providing inclusive playing opportunities for players of all ages and abilities. From introductory sessions for beginners (including FA Wildcats for young girls) to competitive youth, senior men's, and ladies' teams, the club offers a complete development pathway in a fun, supportive environment.
Whickham Fellside has been a core partner club since Blaydon Leisure Centre first opened; with mid-week training and facility use serving as a fundamental hub for overall club operations.

Whickham FC
Whickham football club was founded in 1944, and the club is renowned for being at the heart of the Whickham community.
The club offers a vast array of football teams for both boys and girls, ranging from development age groups, for 4-5 year olds right the way through the youth set up then into adult football and the men’s first team, who currently play in the Northern League Division 1.
Youth teams start with the development sides, which is aimed at helping introduce 4&5 year olds into football through the expert guidance of Lewis Dickman.
There are also many other youth teams across most age groups all the way through to Under 17’s.
Across the adult set up, in addition to the men’s first team, Whickham FC also have 2 other adult teams, Whickham Reserves and Whickham Jacks.
These teams help support talented young players progress from youth football into open age football and ultimately look to help retain local players at the club.
The reserves team currently play their home games at Blaydon Leisure Centre, and the team provides a great opportunity to help support players with their transition from youth football, and hopefully progress towards representing the adult first team.
Whickham FC first team play their home games at the First Mortgage Glebe, which is the cornerstone of the community.
