Senior Activities at West View Better Health Leisure Centre

At West View Better Health Leisure Centre, in Preston, our senior programme has something for everyone. It's the perfect place to meet new people and improve your social, mental and physical health.

Our off-peak senior gym memberships targeted for those aged 66+ will be granted access to the gym, fitness classes, sauna, steam room and swimming pools at both Fulwood and Westview Leisure centre. Our off-peak times are between 9am-4pm Monday to Friday and after 1pm on weekends.

Swimming

If you’re looking for a low-impact way to get fit and healthy, swimming could be the perfect choice. Whatever your fitness levels, age or level of ability, you’re sure to find a session for you in our pool. Our Swim for Fitness sessions take place in slow, medium and fast lanes, so you can take things at your own pace.

Health Suite

The steam room will help to relax, alter moods, ease muscle tension, cure and prevent cold and flu symptoms, combat stress. While the sauna not only feels good, but it’s also good for your body. Whether it’s the physiological changes that occur during the warmth of a sauna, or if it’s simply the time spent in the calming and still retreat of the sauna, every moment matters.

Water Workout

Join us for our Water Workout classes that are available on Mondays at 10.15am and Thursdays at 15.00pm. It combines strength and conditioning with aqua aerobics; an intense but fun work out to help feel energised for the day.

We offer a variety of gym equipment accessible for everyone to use to help achieve their fitness goals. If you're struggling where to start, you can book an induction with one of our trained fitness instructors.
