About Us

South Croydon Swimming Club is a friendly, competitive club based at pools across the Borough of Croydon, one of which is Waddon Leisure Centre where many of our squads swim Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sundays.
Inspiring Excellence and Community in Swimming
Our Vision is to help, motivate and inspire swimmers of all ages and abilities to fulfil their maximum potential whether that be at a competitive or club swimming level or just swimming for fun. Our Mission is to promote and develop a Croydon swimming community where all achievements are recognised and to instil core values which develop our swimmers’ ability both in the pool and within the wider community. We promote a love of swimming and provide an atmosphere that inspires swimmers to achieve their maximum potential through goal setting, hard work and dedication whilst encouraging team spirit, celebrating all swimmers’ successes.

The aim of the Club is to provide recreational swimming activities for disabled people, regardless of the severity of their disability or their age. The club enhances this by the provision of appropriate social activities.
Instructors are trained in the Halliwick Concept of Swimming Therapy, which is designed to help disabled people feel confident in the water. The Club is staffed and run entirely by volunteers and operates all year round on Friday evenings from 8.00 to 9.00pm

Drama Kids
About Us
At Drama Kids we help children to express themselves creatively, communicate more clearly and grow in self-confidence. We teach from a structured, professional curriculum which explores voice, movement and creative drama. We use professional acting techniques to train children to speak clearly and also to develop physical coordination skills through expressive movement. Our creative drama section is different each week and includes short, scripted plays, improvisation skills and mimes to music. The classes are all high energy and lots of fun for everyone, the children get to share their ideas and contribute to the play of the week.
