ICO Oxford Champions Open
The ICO Oxford Champions Open took place on 12th & 13th September 2026 at the White Horse Tennis and Leisure Centre, bringing together martial artists from across the region for a weekend of high-quality competition and sporting excellence.
Competitors representing a wide range of clubs and experience levels took to the mats across a packed schedule of events. The tournament featured disciplines including Light Contact, Kick Light, Points Fighting, Just Blitz and Martial Boxing, with divisions catering for children, juniors and adults.
The event showcased the depth of talent within the martial arts community, providing competitors of all ages and abilities with the opportunity to test their skills in a professional and supportive environment. Spectators were treated to exciting contests throughout the weekend, as athletes demonstrated determination, technical ability and excellent sportsmanship.
Adding to the excitement was the Saturday evening Pro-Am Gala, which delivered a series of entertaining and competitive bouts, creating a memorable highlight alongside the main tournament programme.
Event organisers described the weekend as a tremendous success, with strong participation levels, excellent support from clubs and a fantastic atmosphere throughout both days.
The success of the ICO Oxford Champions Open has already led to further events being scheduled, with two additional tournaments now confirmed for February and November 2027. Organisers are looking forward to building on this year's achievements and continuing to provide opportunities for martial artists to compete and develop.
