Small changes can make a big difference
There are plenty of ways to keep your body and mind healthy even when you can’t get to the gym, pool or court. We know that staying motivated and active on your own can be a challenge, so we’ve created workouts and classes that are made to help. If you are looking for inspiring home exercise classes to start or maintain your at-home fitness routine, the free virtual classes featured on the Better UK app, gives you access to a library of 600 online fitness classes.
Whether you haven’t done much for a while or just looking for the best ways to get in shape, these exercises are easy, gentle and can be done indoors without the need for any gym equipment.
Discover how you can live a healthier life with our free online health check. Our free online health check assesses your response to a few simple questions and uses these to tailor a range of personalised tips and advice that will help to improve your health and wellbeing.
If you’d like a bit more support and need some extra guidance about getting into fitness, try our Give It A Go programme. For six weeks we’ll be by your side supporting you in a range of activities. Following an assessment we’ll be able to direct you to a range of activity options and you’ll be able to give it a go.
At the end of six weeks, we’ll have helped you to feel more confident around your activity choices and be able to work out what’s best for you in the busyness of life.
Our leisure centres are located all across the UK, delivering a full range of gym, swim and group exercise activities, so you can find a location and activity that’s right for you.
We also offer programmes for particular groups that might suit you better, such as 55+ Club or For the Girls.
If you’re living with a health condition such as diabetes, hypertension or depression and want to find ways to get healthy you can get referred to our low cost physical activity referral programme.
The 12 week programme is designed to help you develop the knowledge, skills and confidence you need to improve your health and wellbeing through one to one assessments, individually tailored activity plans and support to make the small changes that lead to big differences.
