Climbing at Ozone

Climbing is is more than just a full body workout. It's a fun, social, and rewarding sport that can quickly become a lifelong passion. Whether you're climbing with a partner on our main top rope wall or testing your skills on the bouldering sections, there's something here for everyone.

New to climbing? Our beginner courses are designed to build your confidence and teach you the foundamentals in a safe, supportive environment.

For those with experience, we also offer advanced sessions to help you to refine your technique and reach new heights.

Rules of the wall

This Climbing wall is unsupervised when booked so please ensure you follow our guidelines:

  1. Complete your registration form before use
  2. Check in with reception on arrival
  3. Any climbers under 18 years old, or inexperienced climber must be supervised by a competent climber over 18
  4. When bouldering ensure to stay in the bouldering sections and lower than the drawn line
  5. Do not jump from a height when bouldering
  6. Do not sit or stand below a climber who is bouldering on the wall
  7. When top rope climbing or on the main wall ensure you are wearing a harness and the belay device is used

Junior Courses

All of our Junior climbing courses are for children aged 6 to 17 years old and are seperated by age group to help you find the best class.

Our Climbing course run in 5 or 6-week blocks and the next one starts week beginning 13th April - Saturday 23rd May.

Adult Courses

For adults we offer both beginner and improver levels. 

The beginner level course teaches you how to climb top rope, harness yourself in, and to belay others on the climbing wall to help you become an independent climber.

The improver level course offers coaching on your climbing technique while also giving you the skills and confidence to lead others on the wall.

Please read - This climbing wall is unsupervised and strict guidelines must be followed before booking. Please see below.

1. Our wall is unsupervised and can not used by inexperienced climbers without being supervised by an experienced adult climber.

2. All climbers must complete a registration form to confirm they are experienced or will be under the guidance of an experienced adult climber, who can belay before access to the wall is granted. 

3. All users must report to reception before any session commences. 

4. Any users under 18 must be accompanied and supervised by an experienced climber over the age of 18. Experienced climber to junior ratios: 1:1 for u12s & 1:2 for 12+

5. All inexperienced climbers over 18 must be accompanied and supervised by an experienced climber over 18 years old. Experienced climbing to inexperience ratio: 1:2. 

6. Bouldering can only take place on the designated bouldering sections to the side of the main wall and below the line on the main wall. To climb above the line on the main or top rope wall you must be accompanied by an experienced climber and using a harness and belay device. 

7. If you are an inexperienced climber you will need to book onto one of our beginner courses and more information can be found online or at reception.

8. When bouldering please do not jump from height or sit or stand underneath someone who is on the bouldering section of the wall

Climbing is a great social sport that becomes a strong hobby for many. You can belay with a partner on our main wall, we also have two bouldering sections available.

For those just starting out we offer classes for complete beginners, to build confidence and to get to grips with the basics, helping you become an independant climber. The current age limits for the junior courses are 6-17 years of age. Junior and adult courses have a maxium ratio of 1:6 coach to enrolees.
