Whatever your fitness goals, our spacious gym has all the facilities needed to help you achieve them. 

Our fully equipped, 130 station gym (please be aware that some stations maybe temporarily available) offers a range of fitness equipment for everyone. From cardiovascular machines, such as treadmills and rowers, to resistance equipment, free weights, dedicated stretching areas and fitness aids such as Swiss balls.

Enjoy the benefits of a single card for residents of the Royal Borough of Greenwich. The Greenwich One Card combines your library and leisure centre membership in one card and provides many exciting discounts in and around the borough. There are 2 pools in the centre (please be aware the Learner Pool is temporarily unavailable).

  • The Main Pool is 25m in length and is ideal for fitness or recreational swimming, as well as those wanting to learn to swim. Classes include: Swim Fit; Swim for All; Swim for All and Better Swim School; Swim for Women and Girls; Swim for 50+; Aqua Splash 


  • The Learner Pool has a maximum depth of 0.9m making it ideal for getting babies and young children into swimming. Classes include: Swim for All; Tots Water World; Swim for All and Better Swim School; Aqua Splash; Swim for Family

Greenwich Centre has 2 studio's for use:

  • Studio 1: This studio is programmed with a range of Fitness Classes to vary your workout - from beginners to advanced level - in a fun and sociable environment.
  •  Studio 2: This studio 2 a beautiful space dedicated to calm classes. The features include temperature control and dimmable lights to make the most of the relaxing experience. It is fully equipped with mats, blocks, bands and balls so members can maximise their workout time.

The new library is significantly bigger than the existing building at East Greenwich, and it will be the third largest in the borough. It will have longer opening hours - doubling the current opening times at East Greenwich Library - and lots more books and new computers for users.

It's been designed as a 'digital hub', with 48 new computers and children’s area with dedicated tablets for children to use. Staff will be on hand to help visitors make the most of the new IT suite, where they will find it easy and more efficient to access council services online.

Our Creche for under 5's gives you the chance to take part in leisure activities, knowing your children are well-cared for. You can leave your child for up to 2 hours in any 24 hours. Booking is essential as places are limited. We're afraid any no-shows (including Prepaid members) will result in the full charge being made.

Our Creche is Ofsted registered. This means that the Creche is regulated and inspected to ensure that the care of the children who attend is of an excellent standard.

The Greenwich Centre Creche is open from Monday - Fridays 9.30am - 3.00pm

Sensory Cocoon World

Sensory Cocoon World offers development classes for babies (0-18 months)and their parents, in a tranquil pod enviroment. We currently have two sessions per week. 

Important skills your young one will learn in a sensory environment:

  • Mixing with other babies
  • Playing in a fun and safe area
  • Physical and visual development
  • Stimulation
