What is Pickleball?
Pickleball is a hybrid of tennis, badminton and table tennis, pickleball is a fun, exciting game for people of all ages and abilities. It is played on the same size as a badminton court, using a shorter tennis-style net. Games are in singles or doubles and players use paddles to hit a plastic ball between one another, usually playing up to 11 points. Learn more about the sport on Pickleball England website.
Pickleball Drop In Sessions
At the White Horse Leisure & Tennis Centre we have pickleball drop in sessions for players of all abilities to come along when suits you to meet other players and have a match. Bats and balls will be provided so just come in comfortable clothes and suitable footwear.
Pickleball Beginners
These sessions are specifically for those who are new to the sport and need a bit of guidance on the technique and rules of the game. The sessions are overseen by a facilitator who will introduce to the sport so you can easily filter into other pickleball drop in sessions.
Pickleball Improvers
Already familiar with the sport and want to improve? The pickleball improvers sessions are led by a facilitator who will help you develop your skills and take on new players.
Bookings for all sessions can be made 5 days in advance of the session or 7 days for centre members.
Book HereWheelchair Pickleball Taster!
Join us on Saturday 27th April from 2 – 4pm for a wheelchair pickleball taster session. A coach will be present to take you through the basics of this developing sport and sports wheelchairs will be available for the session but please let us know if you intend to bring your own.
The session is for adults only and costs £4.50 which is payable on the day. Bats and balls will be provided for the session. Our facility has accessible parking spaces, changing rooms and toilets.
