Ahead of the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup in England and Wales. The First Street Child Cricket World Cup (SCCWC) will unite street-connected children from across the world to play in an international cricket tournament, representing their countries and millions of children still living on the streets. A free festival of both cricket and art will take place at Parkers Piece right outside the centre taking place on the weekend of the 4th and 5th May.

Saturday 4th May:

  • Opening Ceremony 11:30
  • Cricket 12:00-17:00

Sunday 5th May:

  • Cricket 10:30-17:00 (Play cricket with Monty Panesar!)

This will be one of many events taking place across the UK with former street children from 10 countries competing for the chance to play in the SCCWC final which will be help at Lords Cricket Ground on Tuesday 7th May!

Parkside will be supporting by collecting donations leading up to the event. We will have a collection tin at the reception desk so please help us to support the event by donating to this fantastic cause!
