On Friday 21st April – Sunday 23rd April, Sutton Tennis Academy’s very own Suzanne Edwards competed in the Sheffield Futures Wheelchair Tennis Tournament (ITF Futures Series Tournament) at Graves Tennis & Leisure Centre, Sheffield.

Suzanne and her doubles partner, Lauren Jones, competed in the Women’s Doubles and won 6-1, 6-3 after getting through to the quarter and semi finals. Suzanne was well matched with Double s partner Lauren, who is number 4 in Great Britain and number 30 in the world.

Suzanne trains 5 days a week with us here at Sutton Tennis Academy including sports psychology sessions, individual coaching and match play sessions and moved closer to Sutton Sports Village from Horsham so she could focus more on her training.

Suzanne is now ranked number 5 in Great Britain and around 100 in the world from 140 in wheelchair tennis. This is an amazing achievement and everyone at Sutton Tennis Academy is very proud.
