Taekwondo Machine – Building Strength, Confidence and Community in North Manchester

For over 10 years, Taekwondo Machine has been bringing people together in North Manchester through the Olympic style martial art of Taekwondo. Based at Ten Acres Lane Sports Complex, we run classes every weekday for children, adults, families, and complete beginners.

About Us

Taekwondo Machine was founded by our lead instructor Danyal, who holds an undergraduate degree in Sport Psychology and a Master’s in Educational Psychology. His expertise in both sport and education ensures our sessions are designed to help members grow in skill, confidence, and wellbeing not just in martial arts, but in everyday life too.

Our coaching team also includes Lucy, who is a Doctorate of Medicine, bringing a wealth of knowledge in health and wellbeing to the club. Together with our friendly assistant coaches and volunteers, they’ve created an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome.

Achievements We’re Proud Of

Our members and volunteers are the heartbeat of our club, and their dedication has helped us achieve some incredible milestones:

  • Finalists for Club of the Year at the Manchester Sports Awards (2022 & 2023).
  • Elaine, our dedicated committee member, was named Person of the Year at the Manchester Sports Awards.
  • Courtney, who began her Taekwondo journey as a white belt with us, is now part of the GB Taekwondo World Class Performance Programme.
  • We launched family sessions, giving parents and children the chance to train side by side.
