Can I bring my own kayak or canoe to Stanborough?
You may bring your own kayak or canoe along to our lake but only for use during one of our supervised GO Kayak sessions or one of our Paddle Club sessions.
Paddle Club
(16+ only)
Independent lake paddling sessions for 16+ only. Equipment hire included, SUP, Kayak, or Canoe. No instructor will be provided. All participants need to have attended an induction session beforehand in order to book.
Paddle Club Induction
The Induction will involve an assessment of your skills and an orientation of the centre so that you can independently set up for Paddle club sessions in the future. You must already be a proficient paddler as no teaching will be provided.

Go Paddleboard - Beginners
Adult & Youth Sessions (8 years+)
Looking to have a go at Paddle boarding? come and try our GO Paddle Beginners session. This session is for those who have little to no experience paddling and would like help and guidance from an instructor to get them started. These sessions are instructor led.
We provide Paddleboards, wetsuits & buoyancy aids or bring your own if you prefer
£13.50 for 60 minutes - Bookable up to two weeks in advance
Please arrive 15 minutes before your session starts to allow time to get changed to maximise your time on the water

Do you already have some experience Paddle boarding or Kayaking and want to practice? We provide Kayaks, paddleboards, wetsuits & buoyancy aids or bring your own if you prefer. These exciting sessions, are for competent level paddlers. This is a participant led group session. If required, one of our experienced coaches will run through the essential techniques to get you manoeuvring your craft with ease.

Paddle Courses - Youth
Intro to Paddlesports - Youth
(8 to 16 years)
This is a perfect course for young people who want to gain some basic knowledge in paddle sports. This course is designed for people that have never paddled before or people who want to develop more confidence in their new hobby in a safe and supportive environment. The session is a balance of learning through games, practice and discussion to help develop basic paddle skills, water safety and an understanding of equipment. Participants will have an opportunity to try paddleboarding, kayaking and canoeing.

Private Tuition
May - September: £69 per hour for up to 2 people, extra participants are charged at £23 per head.
