Burnholme Sports Centre to host regular Blood Donation clinics

Burnholme Sports Centre will host a series of Blood Donation sessions over the winter months to support this vital service.

Giving blood saves lives but it’s always in high demand. This lifesaving service is required 365 days a year, and dedicated staff work day and night to process, test and distribute donated blood. 

Every year around 135,000 new donors are needed to ensure the NHS has the right mix of blood groups to meet patient needs now and in the future. 

Giving blood is easy and safe. It only takes a hour and you will be doing something amazing.

Most people between 17 and 65 can donate and these sessions will allow first time and regular doners to get invloved in the heart of the local community.

Sessions will be available on the following dates:

Thursday 27th January

Friday 4th February

Monday 4th April
