Please see below for some improtant travel and parking advice for customers planning on visiting on 21st May. We are anticipating much higher volumes of footfall and would like to make your visit as smooth as possible:

Parking information for leisure centre customers:

York City F.C will be playing in the national league promotional final on 21.05.2022 with the fixture kicking off at 3pm. Because of this, we are expecting an increase in traffic and footfall in and around the stadium. Please know that our North car park (located at the rear of the building) is reserved specifically for our leisure centre customers. Please note car parking is free for 2 hours on match days and 4 hours on non match days. Please speak to one of our team members on arrival if you experience any problems.

Travel information for fans travelling to the LNER Community Stadium to watch the game:

A number of additional buses will be provided by First Buses before and after the match. The station will be extremely busy with race events so you can pick up the service from Stonebow where extra services will depart from. These buses will operate alongside the standard service which is every 12 minutes. The additional services (leaving the stadium) will not operate past 6:30pm. After this time the standard service will still be operating. These are not dedicated services for football fans, but standard services that are being used by all members of the public. Stewards and police will be present around the stadium for crowd control for bus users.

Car parking for fans is available in the Park and Ride for pre-purchased tickets.
